Slow Cooker Bbq Ribs

A couple pounds of spare ribs
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 cups BBQ sauce (may need more for larger batch of ribs)
Start off by combining your spices and brown sugar.  Rub it all over the meat.  I like to do this the night before and keep covered and refrigerated.
When your ready to cook your ribs, spray the inside of the cooker lightly with non stick spray.  Stand your ribs up and let the meat side (the top of the ribs) rest against the sides of the pot.  Making sure the thick meaty end of the ribs are on the the bottom.
Spread your Bbq sauce on, be sure and get in between the vertical layers of ribs, if your cooking many.
Cook on low for about 8 hours. Meat will be falling off the bone! Let rest on a baking sheet.  Broil in the oven for about 10 minutes. Make sure to use the top rack in the oven.  Keep an eye on them as all our oven cook differently.
While your broiling your ribs, start the sauce. You are going to have quite a bit of yummy liquid left in the slow cooker.  Skim off the fat and then pour the remaining liquid into a pot and reduce down to a nice thick sauce.  Serve on the side as a delicious sauce to serve with your ribs.
