The Best Chocolate Cake Ever

I am giving every single bit of credit to the "Queen of , well, everything"! Amanda from . One of my favorite places to visit, alot. She posted this recipe as 1 of her top 10. Oh it's a 10 alright! Amazing, moist, gooey, dense, ok, enough with the adjectives already.  Here's Amanda's recipe for you.  You can also find it on her site by clicking HERE. She posted photos of just about every step. She also had some other awesome variations too. Definitely check it out!

1 box devil’s food cake mix
1 small pkg Jello instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups mini chocolate chips (I had a bag of white chocolate chips, yummm)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Grab a large bowl and dump everything in, except the chocolate chips and mix. Now add the chocolate chips, stir those in. That's it. Pour in your cake pan or do like we did and use two 9" round pans.  Use the cooking directions from the back of your cake mix box.  She advised to add some extra cooking time, about 5-10 minutes worked for me. You be the judge of your own oven. Let cool completely before frosting.

Buttercream Frosting
1 cup shortening (Crisco)
4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream

Cream your shortening until fluffy and then add your sugar, keep blending on low, trust me, on low.  Add the rest of your ingredients next and blend on low. When well blended, crank up blender to high and beat until fluffy.
