Pickled Eggs

12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
1 large empty sterilized glass jar
3 cups vinegar
1 cup water
2 tsp. salt
2 medium onions, sliced into separated rings, (opt. but does taste yummy on hot dogs too)
1/3 cup sugar
1 heaping Tbsp. pickling spices
12 garlic cloves
hot peppers, opt.

Add your peeled eggs into your jar(s).  Combine all the other ingredients, minus the garlic and peppers, in a pan and boil for 5 minutes.  Be sure to stir the sugar off the bottom of your pot during cooking.
Pour your pickling liquid over your eggs. add a couple of cloves of garlic and your peppers to each jar, or how ever many you wish.
Leave out on cabinet for 8-10 hours, it's ok, the vinegar is going to prevent any spoiling.  The shelf life of these pickled eggs is probably several weeks, allthough, they never stick around THAT long!
Hey, by the way, if they get eaten up as fast I think they will, go ahead and re-use the jar of pickling liquid.  Just boil you some more eggs and re heat your liquid for a few minutes and viola!

For the perfect pickled eggs, let marinade for 2 weeks.  Just the right bite!
