Southern Fried Pork Chops

2 lbs. bone in pork chops
1 egg
 4 tbsp. milk
 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
 1/2 cup flour
 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
 salt and  black pepper
Oil - to fry

Mix egg and 2 tablespoons of milk together in a shallow dish. Whisk until well blended.

In a seperate dish, combine your flour and bread crumbs, blend well.

Mix your garlic salt, salt and pepper to your flour mixture. Blend well.

Dip your pork chops first in the flour, then to the egg mixture and then back into your flour mixture. Shake off excess.

Let set a minute, to let the batter "set up". Just a couple of minutes.

Preheat oil in an iron skillet to medium heat. If you don't have an iron skillet, whatever you have will work just fine, of course.

Fry until golden brown for about 3-4 minutes per side for thinner pork chops, a little longer for thicker chops.
